Emotional Marketing
Marketing may be famously known has a strategy on how to promote your product but it is a lot more than that because it is also how you communicate with your customers, show them how much you care to make a difference, provide them a reason why they should choose your product, let them know what your product is capable of and establish a relationship with them.
One brand that literally came back to life through its smart and brilliant marketing campaign and ensured that they etched their mark has one of the greatest smartphone brands is, Apple. Their revolutionary campaign handled by Steve jobs when he entered back as a CEO was called "think different" which believed people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones to do it. They could have chosen to market about how they are the best in the world but instead chose to market their core values which set them miles apart from their competition. It not only gave them tremendous popularity but also went on to touch millions . Then there are also other brands like the famously known "fair&lovely" which was rebranded as "glow and lovely" in their attempt to show that they are against racism, Dove's " every body is Beautiful campaign", raised awareness among several women and helped them to accept and appreciate their body, this proves that when marketing is done with a purpose of doing more than mere promoting, it is left as an act that is remembered forever and is known to change lives.
Dairy milk ads are not just a promotion of the product they are, but a value they can add to people's life through sharing happiness among their loved ones. They didn't market a chocolate but an emotion and hence raised the bar. Red bull went from nothing to becoming one of the most famous energy drink brand ever because they managed to do something that awestruck so many people and is still remembered as one of the greatest marketing acts ever and is known as the "red bull stratos" where they broke a 50 year old and recorded the highest space jump of all times from their hired professional on a live feed consisting of a global audience in millions. From the very next day, when people held red bull they felt energy, they felt inspired and motivated, because that's how they made people feel which was the whole point behind their idea and which pushed them to take a risk of investing millions on it. Sometimes it does take a great deal of money to communicate what you need to with your audience but what matters is if it resonates
and had an effect on them or else the millions that were invested are at the end of the day, just numbers because the only thing that people tend to remember is how you made them feel. Hence marketing is that weapon that can make or break a company's reputation.
